The role of a physiotherapist is to facilitate healing and prevent chronic pain and movement conditions. This requires a detailed assessment from which your Spires Physiotherapist will give you a diagnosis which, alongside your own rehabilitation goals, will help to determine how your condition is managed. You and your physiotherapist will set your goals and agree your treatment and management plan collaboratively. You will be guided and supported every step of the way so that you can recover to full function and get back to doing the things you love, whether it be dancing, gardening or sports.
At your assessment, you will be asked a number of questions so that your physiotherapist can collect a detailed history of your symptoms. They will also need to perform a physical examination based on the history you’ve provided. Please wear comfortable clothing which allows the physiotherapist to see the affected areas of your body. Once the assessment has provided a diagnosis for your symptoms, you will receive treatment and a rehabilitation programme based on the current research evidence for your condition.
Please call us if you have any questions or wish to discuss your symptoms before booking an initial assessment session.
All our physiotherapists are chartered, DBS checked and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
